How we Work

Step 01

Initial Consultation

Visit the showroom to see the full range colours and patterns of worktop samples we have for you to choose you new stone worktop. We can also offer specialist advice on what you might need to create your dream kitchen layout.

Step 02

Planning & Design

If you already have your kitchen plans send them over, together with a choice of stone and we will provide a quote. If that works for you, we will reserve the slabs to ensure availability for when you are ready.

Step 03

Bespoke Measuring & Templating

Let us know when you expect to be ready and we will book in the template. We will need all units, end panels etc to be fixed in place, and your sink hob and any pop-up sockets to be on site.

Step 04

Worktop Fitting & Installation

When the stone has been fabricated, we will contact you with an installation date. That is when the magic happens and your kitchen is transformed, bringing the luxury to your kitchen.

Granite Worktop Titanium Granite

A statement granite giving the complete WOW factor. Perhaps high in scale but the movement and depth are typical of the beauty of natural stone. Here the island is the showstopper with an 80mm mitred apron to give the impression of a thicker slab, with mitred waterfall legs and front panel. The worktop run and wall cladding in contrast are 20mm depth, but the kitchen expertly fitted so the heights of the worktop and island are level. It’s all in the planning

Practical, durable, and easy to clean, although it should be noted natural stone is porous. We seal the stone before it is installed but sealant wears away over time and will need to be resealed to prevent staining. A simple job that will take an hour or two, approx. once every 5-10 years. A very small price to pay for nature’s own creation.

Profile Quartz Worktop Artemistone

Artemistone Calacatta Oro Quartz. A bold vein design but with subtle colouring which is the best of both worlds. A statement stone but soft calming tones, a real winner which is a trend that is here to stay and won’t go out of fashion. Here there is a double ogee profile achieved by using 30mm worktops with a 20mm apron. The overall depth appearing a substantial 50mm – a gorgeous feature and goes so well on traditional kitchens.

Here the client opted for wall cladding, giving the WOW. A great feature and so practical – no more finding another material to mix & match and an easy wipe down. Keeping grout clean a thing of the past. 20mm stone is used for wall cladding. In your design particularly with gas hobs you must ensure there is a minimum100mm from the surface of the stone cladding to the edge of the gas burner to avoid discolouration of the stone.

Replacement Quartz Worktops

Our client chose to replace the high maintenance wooden worktops. Having moved into the property, it made economic sense where the kitchen was fine and given the confines of the space any knew kitchen would have the same layout simply to replace the worktops giving the kitchen a whole new look.

Whilst she had considered quartz overlays, she was pleasantly surprised when she visited us, she could get completely new quartz worktops significantly cheaper than the overlays but with the same convenience. We templated with her worktops in situ but with her new sink on site, so she had her working kitchen whilst we fabricated the stone. On the day of installation, we removed and disposed of the old tops, installed the new 30mm Picasso Statuario Modern quartz worktops and plumbed in the new sink & tap and reconnected the existing electric hob.
Replacement worktops simply make sense. Give your kitchen a whole new lease of life.

SHOULD I USE 20MM OR 30MM DEPTH WORKTOPS?

This is subjective and personal preference as to whether you want sleek lines or a more substantial kitchen worktop. 20mm suits flat panel doors 30mm shaker style. 30mm is stronger for overhangs. Cost is negligible until you are at high end stones.

DO YOU FIT REPLACEMENT WORKTOPS?

Yes, we offer a service to remove and dispose of existing worktops, and replumb sink & tap. For gas hobs you will need to arrange your own gas safe engineer. Replacement worktops can be a cost-effective way of giving your kitchen a whole new look.

DO YOU FIT SKINS TO EXISTING WORKTOPS?

No only replacement worktops which are fitted in a day, like skins. In our experience skins are significantly more expensive so why cover when you can have the real thing.

WHAT IS BETTER GRANITE OR QUARTZ?

This is subjective and a matter of personal preference. Both granite and quartz are comparatively priced. Other than resealing granite (which is a minor exercise!) both are equally fit for purpose.
